Data from the DAT One network shows a significant decline in truckload spot market load posts during the Thanksgiving week of November 24-30, with 1.02 million loads available, a 46% drop from the previous week but a 12% increase year-over-year. Available trucks also decreased by 30% sequentially. Metrics for dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds all showed substantial week-over-week declines in load counts and equipment availability. DAT’s Chief of Analytics, Ken Adamo, noted that while market conditions appear to be stabilizing, it’s difficult to differentiate between seasonal effects and broader market trends, especially during the peak shipping season.
