Global air freight rates increased by 0.4% in the week ending June 2, according to TAC Index, although they remain 5.4% lower than a year ago when e-commerce drove rates up. Rates from China to the U.S. and Europe rose slightly, despite a decline in e-commerce activity and ongoing tariff uncertainties. Hong Kong’s outbound routes gained 0.8%, while Shanghai’s increased by 3.7%. In Europe, Frankfurt’s rates dropped by 6.5%, whereas London Heathrow saw a 5.7% rise. Chicago’s outbound routes fell by 9.6%.
