The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported a 0.8% year-on-year increase in global air cargo demand for June 2025, driven largely by a 9.0% growth from Asia-Pacific airlines, despite an 8.3% decline in North America and stagnant growth in Europe. Total demand rose 0.8% compared to June 2024, with international operations up 1.6%. IATA highlighted the importance of trade stability and warned that rising tariffs and recent US trade policies could impact future growth. Additionally, while global industrial production and trade improved, the Purchasing Managers’ Index for new export orders remained below neutral.
