The Port of Los Angeles has finalized the $22.7 million Berths 177-182 Wharf Restoration project in Wilmington, which began construction in November 2023 following approval from the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners. The project involved building 382 linear feet of concrete wharf and upgrading bollards while repairing slope erosion, replacing a timber wharf damaged by a 2014 fire. This upgrade aims to enhance infrastructure resilience and ensure uninterrupted steel-handling operations for Pasha Stevedoring & Terminals, the largest steel-handling port on the West Coast.
