In the first half of 2025, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges handled 137.2 million tonnes, marking a 4.3% decline from the previous year. While container and RoRo traffic increased, there was a drop in both dry and liquid bulk volumes. Ongoing congestion at terminals, caused by logistical challenges and market changes, continues to impact Northwest Europe. Notably, trade with the United States is on the rise, highlighting the port’s strong standing on transatlantic routes.
