Silk Way West Airlines, an Azerbaijani cargo airline, is actively renewing its fleet, receiving new freighters ahead of schedule while expressing concerns about certification delays for future models. The latest delivery includes a Boeing B777F, with plans to add a fourth by January 2026 and replace an older B747-400F. The airline aims to operate 18–19 modern aircraft by 2032. CEO Wolfgang Meier emphasized the importance of reliability from manufacturers, while Boeing’s VP confirmed progress on certifications. Silk Way prefers factory-built freighters for better performance and efficiency.
