Schneider, a freight transportation and logistics provider based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has announced its agreement to acquire Baltimore’s Cowan Systems LLC for approximately $390 million, along with related real estate assets for about $31 million. Once finalized this quarter, Cowan Systems will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Schneider. Established in 1924, Cowan operates around 1,800 trucks and 7,500 trailers, offering services including brokerage and warehousing. This acquisition aims to enhance Schneider’s dedicated solutions and expand its fleet to over 8,400 dedicated tractors, significantly boosting its market presence.
