WattEV has initiated the construction of its sixth heavy-duty electric truck charging depot at the Port of Oakland, which will support the simultaneous charging of 25 trucks at 240 kW each. This facility aims to create a zero-emissions freight corridor from the Bay Area to Northern California and Nevada, significantly reducing charging times to under 30 minutes. The depot is part of broader electrification efforts in Northern California, enhancing infrastructure for zero-emission freight transport and facilitating operations for independent truck owners, while the port is also expanding its clean energy initiatives.
