A €500 million investment is transforming LGG into a premier cargo hub with the CargoLand project, set for completion by 2040. This initiative aims to enhance air cargo handling through advanced digital systems, multimodal integration, and a focus on sustainability. Currently the fifth largest cargo airport in Europe, LGG seeks to rank among the top three by fostering collaboration among stakeholders through its LGG Connect community. CargoLand will feature extensive logistics developments, including warehouses and dedicated office space, to attract global logistics players and streamline operations, ensuring efficient freight handling across Europe.
