GSK has inaugurated a new regional vaccine distribution center in Abu Dhabi, aimed at meeting the vaccine demand in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. Jonathan Symonds, GSK’s Chairman, emphasized the hub’s role in enhancing vaccine access through collaboration with local partners, including the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and Rafed. The facility, part of a larger 40,000-square-meter site, boasts a storage capacity of 60,000 pallets and advanced cold chain logistics. Officials noted that this initiative reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for pharmaceuticals and improves regional healthcare resilience.
