FedEx Corporation has appointed R. Brad Martin as the new Board Chairman following the death of founder Frederick Wallace Smith on June 21, 2025. Effective June 23, 2025, the Board was reduced to twelve members, with Martin, who had been Vice Chairman, taking over as Chairman. He has served on the FedEx Board since 2011 and will also continue as Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee. Martin has extensive experience, including roles as Chairman and CEO of Saks Incorporated and Chairman of Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
