China successfully launched the uncrewed cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-9 on July 15 to supply its Tiangong space station, docking with the Tianhe core module. The Shenzhou-20 crew has entered the cargo craft to begin transferring essential supplies, totaling 6.5 tonnes, including consumables and equipment for experiments. Notably, Tianzhou-9 carries advanced extravehicular spacesuits, a new muscle exercise device, and a brain organoid chip. This mission marks the fourth cargo resupply flight in China’s manned space program and the 584th mission of the Long March rocket series.
