Airbus has achieved a significant milestone by completing the first horizontal stabiliser (HTP) for the A350F freighter at its Spanish facilities. The HTP was produced in Cádiz and assembled in Getafe, emphasizing Spain’s crucial role in Airbus’s commercial aircraft manufacturing. This component will soon be sent to Toulouse for integration into the first test aircraft, with two A350F units scheduled for flight testing in 2026 and 2027. The A350F promises efficiency improvements, including a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, and is designed specifically for the air freight market.
