Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department launched the Air-Land Fresh Lane, attended by over 200 partners from the air cargo and fresh produce sectors. This initiative, trialed earlier this year, aims to streamline clearance for importing chilled seafood and fruits to the Greater Bay Area, allowing for customs clearance in as little as three hours. AAHK’s CEO highlighted the lane’s potential to boost trade and logistics, while the Customs Commissioner noted the alignment of regulations to enhance economic development in the region. HKIA remains the world’s busiest cargo airport, excelling in handling special cargo.
