CEVA Logistics has introduced a new reverse logistics solution for the transport, storage, and recycling of end-of-life electric vehicle (EV) batteries in response to the growing electric and hybrid vehicle market. With around eight million lithium-ion batteries expected to reach their end-of-life in Europe within five years, CEVA aims to establish a comprehensive supply chain for battery collection and recycling, investing in Battery Logistics Centers across ten European countries by 2027. These centers will offer services like battery diagnosis and reconditioning, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and enhancing transparency in battery tracking.
