Amazon will cease its prep and item labeling services for U.S. shipments using its fulfillment services starting January 1, 2026. This change affects all inventory sent to Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service, requiring sellers to independently prepare and label their products beforehand. Although services will still be offered for shipments created before the deadline, those not properly prepped afterward won’t receive reimbursement for damages or loss. Sellers are encouraged to handle packaging themselves or use third-party providers, as this marks a significant operational shift for Amazon.
