Antonov Airlines has successfully relocated its An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft, UR-82073, from Ukraine to Germany, where it underwent extensive modernization. The aircraft, originally operated by Rossiya Airlines and now 31.7 years old, was part of a fleet renamed to honor Ukrainian cities affected by the Russian invasion. Modernization efforts began in 2021 but were interrupted by the war, resuming and completing by June 2025. The aircraft will continue to serve international routes. Antonov Airlines operates a fleet of seven An-124s, specializing in heavy-lift cargo transportation.
