In June, logistics provider Zuidnatie launched a new steel service centre in Antwerp, marking a significant investment of 13.5 million euros. This facility allows customers to have coils up to 32 tonnes cut on-site, addressing the rising demand for integrated steel processing solutions. By slitting heavy steel coils delivered by ship directly at the terminal, Zuidnatie enhances efficiency, reduces CO₂ emissions, and aligns with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges’ climate-neutral goals for 2050. This project also represents the largest investment by the company in five years, bolstering its position in the logistics sector.
