Boeing is developing its next-generation widebody freighter, the 777-8F, projected to enter service in 2028. The company has completed its first wing spar and produced key components for the wings, with major assemblies being crafted by suppliers like Mitsubishi and Kawasaki. Over 80% of the design work is done, and systems testing is ongoing. The 777-8F aims for enhanced fuel efficiency, lower operational costs, and reduced noise. With 59 orders received, Qatar Airways Cargo will be the launch customer. The aircraft will compete with Airbus’s A350F, which is also in development.
