DHL Global Forwarding has officially opened a new air freight hub at Frankfurt Airport after over a year of construction. Developed by Fraport on a 55,000 m² site in CargoCity Süd, the facility includes a 24,500 m² terminal with 54 cross-docks to process up to 300,000 tonnes of air freight. This consolidation enhances operational efficiency, reduces truck movements, and shortens distances for employees. The hub also houses the European headquarters of StarBroker, facilitating various air freight services and employing advanced handling technology for improved customer service.
