CHI Cargo Group (CHI) and Munich Airport (FMG) have established a joint venture named Cargogate, effective January 1, 2025, with CHI holding a 74.9% stake and FMG 25.1%. This partnership aims to enhance airline handling capabilities in Germany and improve cargo services at Munich Airport. Within four months of operation, Cargogate improved efficiency and profitability, earning Platinum status from a major airline and attracting new customers. The venture also includes expanded services like trucking and customs, positioning Munich as a key European air freight hub.
