Air cargo traffic to and from the Middle East and South Asia has significantly declined recently due to the Eid Al-Adha holidays and escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, affecting recovery post-Eid. Tonnages from MESA dropped by nine percent in week 24, following an eight percent decrease the previous week, with intra-MESA traffic down 26 percent. However, the UAE saw a 15 percent increase in cargo, particularly to Africa, which helped overall Gulf traffic rise by eight percent. In contrast, Asia Pacific reported a two percent increase in tonnages, mainly driven by exports to the U.S. Global rates remained stable at $2.41 per kilo.
