DHL Group has entered a long-term electricity supply agreement with ENBW Energie Baden-Württemberg to procure around 80 gigawatt-hours of renewable energy annually, starting in 2026. This partnership, lasting ten years, will help DHL meet approximately 16% of its annual electricity needs in Germany, aligning with its goal of achieving net-zero emissions in logistics by 2050. The electricity will come from the He Dreiht offshore wind farm, which is notable for being one of Europe’s largest and built without government subsidies. This collaboration highlights the importance of sustainable energy management.
