In May 2025, Frankfurt Airport processed 178,977 tonnes of cargo, reflecting a 4.4% increase from the previous year. Year-to-date figures showed a modest 0.5% rise to 833,610 tonnes. Unloadings rose by 6.8% to 90,400 tonnes, while loadings increased by 2.5% to 84,000 tonnes, attributed to the timing of public holidays. Notably, cargo from China surged by 49%, while shipments to China grew by 20.4%. In contrast, Middle East cargo fell by 11.5% due to flight suspensions. U.S. routes saw a 1.3% increase, while Latin America experienced a 10% rise, driven primarily by growth with Mexico.
