Over the next three years, the Port of Los Angeles will invest in clean trucks and infrastructure to transition its drayage fleet to zero-emissions (ZE) models by 2035. The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners approved a spending plan for the Clean Truck Fund (CTF) through June 2028 to support this initiative. The CTF, funded by cargo owners, aims to make ZE trucks more affordable and develop necessary charging stations. Since April 2022, approximately $123 million has been collected, with $93 million allocated for ZE trucks and infrastructure projects. The Port will continue prioritizing ZE truck affordability and infrastructure enhancements.
