Cargolux and AIT Worldwide Logistics, in collaboration with Microsoft, have established their largest Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) agreement, aiming to reduce 66,000 tonnes of CO2e from 2025 to 2027. The SAF, derived from used cooking oil and tallow, will be incorporated into Cargolux’s operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The partnership emphasizes transparency via the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) Registry and adheres to EU and CORSIA standards. Leaders from the companies highlight the significance of collaboration in advancing sustainability in logistics and aviation.
