Qatar Airways has partnered with Virgin Australia to enhance cargo capacity on flights between Australia and Doha, increasing the total weekly bellyhold capacity to over 400 tonnes. Starting June 2025, Virgin Australia will operate daily Boeing 777 flights from major Australian cities, significantly boosting cargo capacity, particularly for exports. This collaboration is expected to strengthen trade links between Australia and Qatar, with two-way trade exceeding AUD 3.4 billion annually. The partnership follows regulatory approvals and aims to meet market demands for improved logistics and connectivity.
