ZeroNorth, Vitol, and the Port of Rotterdam have initiated a four-week trial of an electronic bunker delivery note (eBDN) solution to enhance efficiency and transparency in bunker operations. This marks the first digital bunker delivery in Rotterdam, with three to four deliveries planned during the trial. The goal is to showcase the advantages of digital notes over manual ones, such as time savings and improved data quality. Following the trial, eBDN will be integrated into the port’s systems, advancing Rotterdam’s digitalisation efforts in alignment with other major ports like Singapore.
