Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, aims to reduce carbon emissions from its ground support equipment (GSE) at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport by 80% through the use of biofuel. Starting this month, various GSE, including tow trucks and loaders, will run on HVO 100 biofuel, sourced from waste materials. WFS plans to use over 400,000 liters of this renewable diesel to cover 82% of its annual energy needs. This initiative aligns with SATS’ environmental goals and follows similar trials at London Heathrow to promote sustainable airport operations.
