WestJet Cargo has announced an expansion of its Calgary-Seoul service, increasing flight frequencies from three to six per week starting May 19, 2025, in response to rising demand for air cargo and passenger transport between Canada and South Korea. This enhancement, supported by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, aims to bolster economic ties and facilitate trade, with a cargo capacity of about 130 tons weekly. Executives from WestJet emphasized the importance of this expansion in providing better opportunities for businesses and enhancing global connections, coinciding with the first anniversary of the route.
