Walmart has opened a new 1-million-square-foot distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency for Sam’s Club. This facility will process goods for 25 locations across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico, and will also handle imported goods for four other distribution centers in the Southeast. As part of its growth strategy, Walmart plans to open 30 new Sam’s Club locations in 2025 and aims to add 15 annually thereafter. Additionally, the company is optimizing its network by closing some facilities, such as a fulfillment center in New Jersey.
