Utz Brands has launched a 650,000-square-foot logistics center in Hanover, Pennsylvania, named the Rice Distribution Center, which will manage inventory storage and distribution for Utz facilities across the U.S. Equipped with advanced systems, it is expected to handle 2.3 million pallets and 1.1 billion pounds of product annually. CEO Howard Friedman emphasized that the facility will enhance operational efficiency and honor the legacy of Mike Rice. The company is also focusing on cost savings by reducing its manufacturing footprint to eight primary facilities.
