The United States Postal Service (USPS) is revising its contracts with package consolidators, citing that current agreements do not align with today’s operational and financial realities. USPS will no longer offer discounted rates through Negotiated Service Agreements (NSAs) for packages entered at Post Office Delivery Units, as part of a strategy to modernize its network and enhance efficiency. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy emphasized the need to realign pricing strategies with USPS’s goals, while some industry experts predict this move could lead to higher costs and slower performance compared to competitors like UPS and FedEx.
