Ush and Poppy Mobility have launched Belgium’s first remote-controlled rental cars at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, in partnership with the port authority. This innovative service, initially serving Boluda employees, allows workers to request a car via an app, which drives autonomously to their location. After the ride, a remote driver takes control to reposition the vehicle. The project aims to enhance accessibility and efficiency in the port, known for its technological advancements. A phased rollout will lead to a full commercial launch by 2026, supported by regulatory collaboration.
