UPS Supply Chain Solutions has partnered with Verity to utilize autonomous drones for inventory tracking at its Velocity facility in Kentucky. This collaboration, initiated in July, aims to improve inventory accuracy, with drones conducting daily checks and bi-monthly audits, significantly reducing inventory processing hours and eliminating high-reach tasks for employees. The facility, with a narrow aisle configuration, benefits from the drones’ ability to navigate tight spaces. Other companies, including Maersk and sportswear brand On, are also implementing Verity’s drone technology to enhance inventory management.
