Union Pacific Railroad has introduced 15 new Focus Sites across eight states, including 12 on short line railroads, enhancing access to its extensive 32,000-mile rail network. These Focus Sites are designed for large-scale development, facilitating logistics and services for businesses. Executive VP Kenny Rocker emphasized that partnerships with short lines boost network reach and access to domestic and global markets. Matt Cundiff, president of Ironhorse Resources, noted the program’s positive impact on local economic growth. Overall, Union Pacific now has 39 Focus Sites and offers a Site Solutions Tool with over 2,000 properties near its rail lines.
