Union Pacific has successfully ratified agreements with 11 unions representing 46% of its craft employees. Two major unions have also approved interim agreements granting their members a 3% pay raise while negotiations for long-term contracts continue. The ratified agreements, which span five years and take effect from July 1, 2025, include wage increases, added vacation time, and enhanced health benefits. CEO Jim Vena expressed gratitude to the unions for their collaboration, emphasizing the importance of rewarding employees for their contributions to the company’s reliable service.
