The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn has approved the sale of DB Schenker to Danish logistics group DSV for €14.3 billion, marking DSV’s largest acquisition to date. The deal, expected to close in 2025 after regulatory approvals, aims to enhance Deutsche Bahn’s focus on restructuring rail infrastructure and improving financial stability. DSV’s acquisition will create a combined revenue of approximately €39.3 billion and retain existing employee agreements for two years. Other bidder CVC has raised concerns over transparency in the bidding process.
