He emphasized that ongoing attacks on vessels jeopardize lives and disrupt global trade, as the Red Sea is a key shipping route. Dominguez underscored the importance of collaboration among IMO member states and stakeholders to safeguard seafarers and promote a resilient maritime transport system in the region, which has significant development potential.
