The Scarborough Energy Project has reached a key milestone with the arrival of the final Pluto Train 2 modules at the Pluto LNG facility in Karratha, Australia, paving the way for the first LNG delivery expected in 2026. Since February 2024, 51 modules, weighing a total of 56,000 metric tonnes, have been shipped from Batam, Indonesia. The expansion will enable the processing of about 5 million tonnes of LNG per year and supply up to 225 terajoules daily to the Western Australian market. The project is projected to generate over A$50 billion in tax contributions and create thousands of jobs.
