A year after the Container Exchange Route (CER) opened, the Port of Rotterdam Authority plans to expand it in 2025 with new connections to Distripark Maasvlakte and the ECT Delta terminal. This expansion will include two main-gate connections, making access easier for logistics providers. Investment in fibre optic and electrical infrastructure will support future equipment like speed gates and cameras, enhancing efficiency and integrity. Since its launch, the CER has facilitated over 20,000 trips, significantly improving container transport safety and reliability on the Maasvlakte.
