In October, the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB) achieved record-breaking cargo volumes. POLA processed 905,026 TEU, a 25% year-over-year increase, marking a historic four consecutive months over 900,000 TEU. Meanwhile, POLB recorded 987,191 TEU, up 30.7% annually, with significant demand for holiday goods driving this growth. Both ports attribute their success to strong consumer spending, economic factors, and ongoing labor concerns affecting other regions, leading to a continued influx of cargo in the coming months.
