Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami International Airport Director Ralph Cutié, along with county officials and airport staff, will celebrate MIA’s record passenger and cargo growth in 2024, significant milestones in its $9 billion modernization plan, and the success of its I AM MIA customer service initiative. As the busiest airport for international freight and second for international passengers in the U.S., MIA, with its extensive flights to Latin America and the Caribbean, generates $118 billion in business revenue and attracts about 60% of Florida’s international visitors.
