The air cargo market experienced robust performance in November, avoiding the expected “peak of all peaks,” according to Xeneta’s Chief Airfreight Officer, Niall van de Wouw. Improved resource allocation and carrier-shipper agreements contributed to this stability, preventing supply chain pressures that could negatively affect consumers. November marked the 13th consecutive month of double-digit growth, with a 10% year-over-year increase in demand and a surge in spot rates to $2.90 per kilogram. Van de Wouw emphasized that the maturity of the market is evident, as proactive capacity management has led to more balanced rate growth.
