Helen of Troy, the parent company of Hydro Flask and Osprey, is increasing its inventory to prepare for potential tariffs, as stated by CFO Brian Grass. This strategy aims to provide more time to adjust supplier transitions, particularly moving sourcing away from China. While there are uncertainties regarding which products and countries may be affected by new tariff proposals, CEO Noel Geoffroy emphasized the importance of diversification, asserting that the current sourcing changes are beneficial irrespective of tariff outcomes. The company has been re-evaluating its sourcing strategies and nearshoring production to mitigate geopolitical risks.
