The Los Angeles Harbor Commission has approved a $52 million lease amendment for infrastructure improvements at the Port of Los Angeles Pier 300 terminal, operated by Fenix Marine Services. Construction is set to start next year and aims to enhance cargo capacity, efficiency, and sustainability while reducing emissions. The project will add five loading/unloading tracks, improving on-dock railyard capacity for direct cargo loading onto trains. Funding includes $18 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation and $19 million from California’s Trade Corridor Enhancement Program.
