The seventh annual Cathay Hackathon concluded successfully in Shenzhen, marking its first expansion into the Greater Bay Area since its inception in 2016. The event attracted over 1,500 applications from students across Hong Kong and Mainland China, with 74 teams participating in a 24-hour development session. Participants presented innovative solutions aimed at enhancing Cathay Pacific’s services. The winning team, GingTrip, proposed a modular trolley for HK Express to automate recycling. The event highlighted the commitment to fostering young talent and innovation in the aviation industry.
