In August 2024, the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute released the “EPIC Index Update and Country Risk Report,” highlighting the myriad risks facing global supply chains, including environmental, geopolitical, and technological disruptions. The EPIC framework, developed in 2010, helps supply chain managers assess regional strengths and weaknesses across economic, political, infrastructural, and competence dimensions. This comprehensive approach enables better risk management by analyzing potential disruptions and identifying alternative resources, ultimately enhancing supply chain resilience in a rapidly changing landscape.
