The national average price for diesel gasoline experienced its first weekly decline after four weeks of increases, dropping by 7.8 cents to $3.553 for the week ending October 21. This follows a series of increases over the previous weeks, totaling a cumulative rise of 10.5 cents in that period. Comparatively, the average diesel price is down 99.2 cents year-over-year, which is a larger decline than the previous week’s 81.3 cents. Additionally, WTI Crude is trading at $71.78, up from $70.45 the prior week.
