Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the TATA Aircraft Complex in Vadodara, Gujarat, marking a significant advancement in India’s defense sector. This facility will manufacture the Airbus C295 aircraft, with 40 units to be produced in collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems Limited, out of a total order of 56. The development is a key part of India’s ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ initiative, aiming for self-reliance in defense manufacturing. The first ‘Make in India’ C295 is expected to roll out by September 2026, with full production by August 2031.
